Step by Step
Bathe and wear clean, cotton clothes.
Sit before the puja mandir facing east.
Light a single ghee diya. Watch it burn for a moment in silence.
Offer a stick of sandalwood agarbatti; wave it clockwise thrice.
Chant your ishta-mantra 108 times on a tulsi or rudraksha mala.
Offer 3 flowers, apply kumkum to the deity's forehead.
Perform aarti with camphor. Consume the vibhuti/prasadam.
